We are seeking a full-time Funeral Director or Apprentice who has experience and desires to serve families in the most professional and compassionate manner possible. This person must have excellent communication skills and will meet with families to help them discover and design beautiful and appropriate tributes for their loved one. This person must be conscientious, self-motivated, well-organized, and meticulous.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have an existing Wisconsin funeral director license or be able to reciprocate a current license to Wisconsin.
- Display proficiency as an efficient, team player.
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Have a professional appearance.
- Capable of a fast-paced work environment.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills required (Microsoft Office, Funeral Service Software, etc.).
- Capable of meeting families and making funeral arrangements.
- Ability to coordinate and direct funeral services.
- Oversee preparation and embalming of the deceased.
- Ability to make removals.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 plus years experience as a practicing director.
- Affinity for preparation work and cosmetics.
- Proclivity for community involvement.
Firm:
A progressive family-owned firm, looking to grow and expand, we seek to provide premier-level service to all our families and clients. We have staff training and seek family feedback to continually gauge and improve our service. Currently, 40% of our families choose burial options and 60% choose cremation options. We serve approximately 125 families a year at our single location.
