Now Hiring - Licensed Funeral Director

Farber Funeral Home - Reedsburg, Wisconsin.

We have an immediate opening for a full-time funeral director.  The position is available immediately, but we are willing to wait for a Spring 2025 mortuary science graduate.  

We are seeking a candidate who is looking for a long-term commitment with potential for future ownership. Farber Funeral Home is a family-owned and operated funeral home with deep community roots dating back to 1929.  We are located one hour north of Madison and minutes from the Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo, WI.

We require a funeral director’s license and a valid driver’s license in good standing.  The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, conduct themselves in a professional manner, be a team player, compassionate, patient and eager to learn from experienced owners.

Qualifications

• Licensed Funeral Director - must have or be able to obtain WI licensure.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with computers and technology.
• Willingness to learn business processes and standards.
• Willingness to engage with the community.

Responsibilities

• Meet with families to make funeral arrangements.
• Perform removals and transport deceased.
• Participate in a predictable on-call schedule.
• Embalm and prepare the deceased for visitation, burial, cremation, etc.
• Staff visitations, funerals, burials, etc.
• Answer office phones.
• Print materials.
• Other duties as assigned and necessary to support business operations.
