The Schedule (No Games)

About 150 calls per year, shared
Rarely a full 40 hours in the building
Office hours typically 8–4
One scheduled day off every week
Every third weekend on call
Christmas or Thanksgiving off each year
Strong part-time support staff

If you’re used to 300–600 calls and constant on-call, this will feel like a reset.

The Role

Assist the owner with daily operations and leadership
Embalm and prepare decedents with care
Help manage the crematory
Meet with families and handle arrangements
Coordinate services, visitations, and logistics
Work with clergy, cemeteries, and vendors
Support workflow, scheduling, and team communication

This is a leadership role, not a burnout position.

Who We’re Looking For

Wisconsin Licensed Funeral Director (or ability to obtain)
Strong embalming skills
Dependable, organized, and calm under pressure
Comfortable helping guide staff
Team-first mindset
Insurance license a bonus, not required
