WHO WE ARE
Piasecki Funeral Home has served the Kenosha community since 1931. For nearly a century, the Piasecki family built something rare: a funeral home rooted not in commerce, but in calling and ministry. A place where grieving families were met with genuine compassion, treated with dignity, and cared for as if they were family. That legacy was not passed on lightly, and it is not carried forward lightly.
We do not use the word "work" to describe what we do here. We serve. We do not talk about "employees" or "staff." We are a team and, in many ways, a family. The people who are part of this team come through the door every day because they understand the sacred responsibility of walking alongside families in their most vulnerable moments. That understanding shapes everything: how we treat each other, how we make decisions, and what we expect from the people who join us.
Our culture is intentionally warm and deeply professional. Leadership here is present, invested, and genuinely committed to creating an environment where every member of this team is valued, supported, and proud of the service they provide together. We give freely of ourselves for each other, because we know that same generosity will be returned. That is not a rule. It is a reflection of who we are.
You will also have a colleague you may not expect: K9 Millie, our certified therapy dog, who serves alongside our team every day. K9 Millie brings comfort and calm to the families we serve, and she lifts the spirit of our team as well. She is a reflection of our commitment to caring for everyone who walks through our doors, including the people who serve beside her.
If you are an Illinois-licensed funeral director, we welcome your application. Wisconsin reciprocity is available, and we will work with you through the licensing process.
